Who we are

CAVIFIC Universal ("CAVIFIC", "we", "us") is the public name of CAVIFIC UNIVERSAL LTD, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 9934813), based in Lagos. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact us about privacy at CavificUniversal@gmail.com or +234 703 505 5434.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to reply to you and to run the services you ask about:

  • Contact details you give us in a form: name, email, phone, organisation, city and country.
  • The content of your enquiry, booking request, brief, application or submission, including links to your portfolio or music.
  • Your newsletter sign-up and the consent you gave.
  • For CAVIFIC Network members, the profile details you agree for us to publish.

We do not use advertising trackers on this website. We do not ask for, and you should not send, sensitive personal data such as health, religious or financial information through our forms.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to you and take steps towards a contract you have asked about, such as a booking, a project or representation.
  • With your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box, for newsletters and for publishing a CAVIFIC Network profile. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Our legitimate interests in running and protecting the website, preventing spam and fraud, and keeping records of enquiries.
  • Legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records once we work together.

Who we share it with

We never sell personal data. We share it only where needed to deliver what you asked for: with the CAVIFIC team; with our technology partner and service providers (such as email, hosting and form tools) who process it on our instructions; and, when you ask us to make an introduction or a booking, with the artist, creative or partner concerned. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, such as adequate protection in the destination country or contractual protections.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Client and contract records are kept for as long as the law requires. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. CAVIFIC Network profiles are kept while you are a member and removed when you ask.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:

  • be told how your data is used, and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected, and data deleted where there is no reason to keep it;
  • restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
  • receive your data in a portable format; and
  • complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

To use any of these rights, email CavificUniversal@gmail.com. We reply within the time the law requires.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it, and admin accounts are protected. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Children

This website is not aimed at children under 18. If you are under 18 and want to apply to one of our programmes, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us.
